ImageThe day is planned to provide the child with a variety of learning experiences appropriate to his or her developmental level and needs. Each day is structured to create a balance between individually chosen and group activities. Thus, there are times during the day when the children are free to choose from a variety of activities and materials available in the classroom. These include block play, art, dramatic play, water and sand play, manipulative materials, and library. Children engage in these activities on their own or in small groups. Large group activities such as music, movement, and story reading are also a part of each child’s day, along with activity in the indoor gym or an outdoor program.

Neighborhood walks and bus trips are arranged with themes of interest for each class. Most classes bring lunch from home and full-day children relax to music, or nap before an afternoon of classroom activity, indoor gym or outdoor play.

An Early Bird program from 8:00 to 9:00 and an Extended Day program from 3:00 to 6:00 are available to meet the needs of parents’ schedules.
