A measure of a neighborhood's strength is
the extent to which its residents share their time and talents in voluntary
activity in their community. Brooklyn
is fortunate to support a broad array of voluntary organizations -
organizations that address the homeless, the hungry, the elderly, the arts, and
our community. The Volunteer Fair to be held at Congregation Beth Elohim on Thursday, May 15 from 6:30-9pm will
be an opportunity to meet and talk with representatives from over 50
organizations that depend on the services of volunteers. For high school students, we hope to have
peer advisors available to help you find a great community service placement.
Your reward? Personal satisfaction, increase in skills,
and enhancement of your community ...
