The 1200-seat Sanctuary, built in 1909, is the fourth home of the congregation. The Temple House, built in 1929, has become the center of the congregation's social, cultural and educational life and features a social hall, ballroom, chapel, pool and gymnasium, and ample classroom and office space.

CBE is host to a variety of youth and family education programs, musical and artistic performances, and religious and social activities:

* Religious Services CBE offers weekly Shabbat services for adults and youth of all ages, alternative and lay led minyans, monthly community Shabbat dinners, High Holiday services and other holiday celebrations, and ceremonies for all life cycle events. Follow the links for biographies of our rabbis and cantor.

* Yachad Our religious education program teaches youth and families together (yachad) to explore the six core concepts of Text and Narrative; Mitzvah, Tefila (Prayer) and Ritual; Acts of Lovingkindness, Jewish Values and World Citizenship; Israel, Peoplehood, and Pluralism; Tradition and Innovation; and Hebrew Language and Jewish Culture.

* Early Childhood Center Established in 1978, the CBE Early Childhood Center has rapidly become one of the most highly regarded nursery school/kindergarten programs in the New York metropolitan area and has become a focal point in the lives of many nursery school families, providing warmth and enrichment to family members and children alike.

* After School Center CBE's After School Center offers children in kindergarten through sixth grade a wide variety of instructional classes and recreational activities in a safe and caring environment. In addition to regular after school care, the program also provides mini-camps during school recesses, a summer day camp, and a summer travel camp.
