Besides a trip to Israel, studies have shown that a Jewish Summer Camp Experience is the strongest influence on a Jewish youth's personal Jewish Identity. The Union For Reform Judaism owns and operates 3 Residential Summer Camps in this region of the country, and are a great resource for members of Congregation Beth Elohim.
URJ Eisner Camp, located in Great Barrington, MA, URJ Crane Lake Camp located in West Stockbridge, MA, and URJ's Kutz Campus for Reform Jewish Teen LIfe all provide wonderful opportunities for Jewish youth to develop and enhance lasting realtionships and Jewish identity by provding a balanced mix of spiritual, athletic and cultural programs through living Judaism in an environment of support and acceptance. Many of our members send their children to the URJ camps and are available to speak with you about their experiences. If you would like more information about any of the URJ camps, please contact member Susan J. Miller at
