Needs: Cleaning, greening, planting, weeding
Docents, tour guides, event assistance, concession sales
Fundraising, office assistant, research and writing
Many other possible volunteer opportunities

Commitment: Ranges from once-a-year events, to regularly scheduled work; some may require a short training session.
Minimum Age: All ages, families welcome

Provides funding to enable needy Jews to celebrate Passover (a Joint Passover Association-Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services program).

Needs: Volunteer interviewers to screen applicants for Passover assistance grants, determine and document financial needs, refer families to appropriate social services

Commitment: At least one weekday (10:00 am to 3:00 pm) a year, in early March. Two hours of training required.
Minimum Age: 21

Anti-poverty program; helps impoverished individuals get and keep jobs; offers job training, social services, meals, tutoring, business clothes.

Needs: Volunteer tutors, drivers, food servers

Commitment: Three times a week to once a year, depending on type of work
Minimum Age:  16
