The congregation’s youth group is known as BESTY (Beth Elohim Senior Temple Youth) and is an affiliate of NFTY (National Federation of Temple Youth). High school age young people meet regularly in the spirit of friendship, community and Jewish ideals. They are encouraged by senior advisors and the clergy to explore issues of a serious nature and to have fun while doing so. BESTY is the much admired production unit of the annual Purim Carnival and they also distinguish themselves as participants of the Purimspiel. Many of the BESTY members have gone on to leadership roles in NFTY.
