Film & Discussion: Kai Feng—The Jewish City in China (A Tale of Chinese Jews)
In 900 CE, a colony of Middle Eastern Jews was established in Kai Feng, a city at the end of the "silk route," then China's capital. The community lasted until the early 20th century. David Sandgrund, a longtime member and former Vice President of Congregation Beth Elohim, will present this Brandeis University-sponored film and lead a discussion.
