PRAYER BOOK HEBREW II (and more!)
RABBI DANIEL LEHRMAN
This class is for you if you can read a little Hebrew and want to begin
understanding what you're reading. Using the book, "Aleph Isn't Enough," we will study many of the main prayers in the Shabbat service and someTorah passages as we get acquainted with basic verb forms, pronouns, vocabulary, and translating skills. But the class is not all Hebrew. Dividing each 90-minute class into two parts, we will spend about half of each session exploring one of the great classic teachings of the Talmud and related texts. If you've wondered what riches are in the sea of Talmud, Mishnah, and Midrash, here is a chance to dive in and find out.
Rabbi Lehrman looks forward to seeing his continuing students, but emphasizes that this class is also appropriate for new students who did not take any of his previous classes.
