Shabbat Nishmah: A Listening Service on Social Justice Print
Friday, April 20 2007, 6:30pm - 8:00pm

On Friday, April 20th at 6:30pm, Congregation Beth Elohim will open its ears for a self-reflective Shabbat Service on social justice in our community.  During the sermon, the pulpit will be open to congregants interested in reflecting publicly on social justice.  Members of our community will share their responses to the following questions: Around what issue(s) of social justice are we obligated to mobilize our community? What steps must we take?  This public forum is an opportunity for us all to consult our consciences—as individuals and as a community—which is why this discussion will take place during Tefilah, surrounded by our prayers.

If you are interested in speaking (1-2 minutes), please contact Matthew Soffer ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
