Join us, on Wednesday, February 16th, for a discussion of the surrealistic semi-autobiographical tales of the Polish-Jewish writer/artist Bruno Schultz, whose unpublished masterpiece disappeared during the Holocaust, when he and his protectors were killed. The Street of Crocodiles is a collection of fantastical descriptions of the Galician town of Drogobych and its inhabitants, focusing on Schulz's father, a bookkeeper and the owner of a dry-goods shop. |
