 Benjy Fox-Rosen—singer/bassist/composer—created Minutn fun Bitokhn (Moments
of Faith) as an arresting new synthesis of Yiddish folk songs with New Music,
microtonal improvisation and art song. This program gives new perspective
to the songs of beloved Krakow
songwriter and poet Mordechia Gebirtig (1877-1942), which tell universal stories
of pre-war and wartime Jewish life. The ensemble also features Judith Berkson
(voice, accordion, piano), Noah Kaplan
(saxophone) and Juan Pablo Carletti (drums).
Wine and nosh served.
