Basic Judaism: An Introduction to Jewish life, text and ideas.

We will examine the central themes of Jewish civilization, the texts and traditions of Judaism, Jewish history and Jewish culture. We will explore the calendar, holidays, the Jewish life cycle, and engage in a hands-on experience in our learning process. Short readings and discussion will be used each week. For those who’ve never had a chance—there will also be an opportunity to plan an Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
