Ever heard of Limmud NY but weren't sure
what it's all about? Narrowly translated Limmud means learning,
and Limmud NY is a grassroots community that works all year to create
an annual festival of Jewish learning and culture for Jews of all ages
and backgrounds. To get a sampling of what the conference is like,
all are invited to Congregation Beth Elohim for a Taste of Limmud in Brooklyn.
Choose from one of four diverse sessions: re-conceive the Torah
with Jon Kelsen, learn to cook with Valerie Philmus, view and discuss
famous Jewish photography with Seth Kushner, or learn about the Lower
East Side Jewish immigrants with Annie Polland. Join us Monday, October 27, 7:30-9:30pm for an
evening of eating, schmoozing, learning, and community!
Co-sponsored by Limmud NY,
Pardes, and Congregation Beth Elohim.
