Ruach B'Yachad (Spirit Together)
Ruach B’Yachad is a component of the Yachad curriculum where students learn through engagement with art, physical movement, text study, and cultural activities. All students in our program engage in Ruach programming on Monday afternoons or on Shabbat morning.  In K-3rd grade, this program is integrated into Jewish studies classes.  In 4th-6th grade, students choose elective classes in a given medium. Worship and social action are also an integral part of our Ruach program on Monday afternoons and on Shabbat morning.

At Ruach B’Yachad students are also encouraged to explore their Jewish identity through a wide array of informal experiences. The program encourages the exploration of Jewish tradition, texts, and Jewish identity in a fun, unique and interactive environment.  Ruach B’Yachad seeks to stimulate imagination, personal growth and creativity in a context and structure that is conducive to our participants learning, playing, and growing as people and as Jews.

Program goals:
1. To create strong relationships to Jewish text, tradition, community and identity through creative self expression and/or physical experience.

2.To develop interpersonal and group leadership qualities based on Jewish values through the arts, sports and text study.

3. To build a strong sense of Jewish community through group projects, community celebrations, group critiques and artistic exploration.

4.To enhance strong Jewish identity through activities and projects that draw upon the students’ own interests and passions.

5.To encourage the use of and comfort with Modern Hebrew.
